Annual Fire Extinguisher Servicing
Our FIA trained & BAFE assessed engineers will attend your premises to conduct annual servicing of your fire extinguishers carried out to BS 5306-part 3: 2017 standards. On completion of servicing, a certificate of maintenance will be issued.
As a company we do not offer service contracts for fire extinguishers. Our belief is that you should not be tied to a company and feel obliged to pay an increasing annual invoice over your contract time. Our engineers will conduct your servicing at an agreed price. If any extinguishers require replacing, or it is advised we need to replace parts, we will inform upon inspection.
Services offered
- Annual maintenance of extinguishers & blankets as per BS 5306 part 3: 2017
- Supply of new fire extinguishers and fire safety equipment
- New extinguishers commissoned into service (by engineer)
- Disposal of fire extinguishers (CBDU 237016)
- Fire extinguisher survey as per BS 5306 Part 8: 2012 (this is not a fire risk assessment)
Extended Service & Discharge Testing
In addition to basic annual maintenance, every 5 years water, foam, wetchem and powder extinguishers must be discharged to make sure they actually work and are in good condition internally, before being refilled back into service for the next 5 years.
We offer this service, however there is no gurantee that the extinguisher will be serviceable for another 5 years. It may be required that you need a new extinguisher.
Our engineer will advise upon inspection the cost effective options regarding the extended service.
